August 2018.  Center faculty member Sindy Tang has been promoted to Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University.

Wendell Lim (UCSF) featured in a UCSF article highlighting his newest publication in Science, which demonstrates the ability to program groups of individual cells to self-organize into multi-layered structures reminiscent of simple organisms or the first stages of embryonic development.

CCC research featured TWICE in Discover Magazine article on "Cradles of Innovation" in the NSF STC program.   Two of the ten "cradles of innovation" pieces are about CCC research being done in the groups of Zev Gartner (UCSF) and Tom Zimmerman/Simone Bianco (IBM).   The article may be found at this link
